I knew Curtis from the age of four as we went to Franklin Grade School together. As a young girl I had a rather severe lisp ( which was corrected). In later years my mom would often remind me of how I would come home from school bubbling about CURTHISS and how cute he was. And he was. He married Sharon Gooding (another classmate) and their time together wasn't long enough. It makes me sad that I won't see my little kindergarten friend again.
I remember Curtis from Belleville Junior High School when he sat across from me in one of my classes. He was always friendly and fun to be around. He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Gooding, and they made a great couple. Curtis will always be remembered in the hearts of those who knew him. He was a kind and gentle soul.
I am Sharon Gooding Stoddard, writing about the love of my life, Curtis Stoddard. We were married on Oct. of 1964. We had two children, Tracy and Christopher. Curt and I were Jr. high sweethearts......and all through high school. We all miss him terribly.....he was a really good man. Cancer took him way too early(he was only 55). He is in our hearts forever!
