I knew Jon at school and at work abd when he dated Carol Hertling my girl friend and I doubled with them several times and laways had fun, he used to make Carol mad just for the hell of it,or to make up I'm not sure which. She had a temper but was a great person. As far as work went I worked at Broadhead Ford in East St.Louis, and Jon's dad bought him a 55 t-bird so I got him parts as needed, we found out that it was the 5th bird ever made, I heard his dad took it away from him because of speeding tickets. See ya Jon!!

Jon and I dated after highschool and he was a fantastic guy!  Boy do I remember that T-bird, we went down the hill by the Cahokia downs racetrack and he had it pegged at 150 or better, my life was never the same after that (fortunately, I didn't see too much because my full skirt was up around my face) and he admitted later that night that that was his intention!  We had some good times with Ross Munro and John Huntleigh and YES  there was a whole lot of speeding going on.  One of our favorite dates was to go on the Admiral, as I am sure many remember you could "drink"  on-board and one night Ross Munro came off the boat with his date passed out over his shoulder.  We were in Jon's mothers brand spankin' new gold Buick Wildcat and Ross' date woke up enough to get sick (in the heart of East St, Louis), Jon and Ross were a tag team, the girl hit the curb about the same as the Wikdcat, no muss, no fuss and no MESS!  End of story, Ross did not want to face the music with the girls folks, so he left her on the front porch, knocked on the door, jumped into the car and we took off like a bat out of hell, AHH those were the days!

Jon and I reconnected at our reunion or he would sometimes call (it was a free call he worked for AT&T).  He married the sweetest lady and I do not believe they had any children.  He passed away in his sleep from a massive heart attack ~ RIP Jon and thanks for the wonderful memories!  I suspect that the "Three Amigos" are somewhere "raisin' hell right now since all three have passed on and I am sure they are looking for a dragrace somewhere!
