Kenneth Steinberg

Kenneth Gene Steinberg, 72, born April 13, 1945, in Belleville Illinois, passed away October 4, 2017,

 in Belleville, Illinois.

Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to everyone he met. He possessed a hardworking and dedicated personality that was his driving force daily to enhance the lives of those around him. Kenneth proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later transitioned into the Army. He later married the love of his life, Carol Watts and together they had four children. Kenneth worked as a telephone repairman in Las Vegas until his retirement. Kenneth enjoyed collecting coins, treasure hunting, carpentry, watching the Raiders play football, and being a member of the American Legion. His most precious memories were those spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol (nee Watts) Steinberg; his infant daughter, Kathleen Steinberg; both parents, William and Patricia (nee Fickinger) Steinberg; and one brother, William Wayne Steinberg.

Kenneth is survived by his children; Karen (Tim) Torres, of Las Vegas, NV, Brian Steinberg, of Belleville, IL and Christine (Kevin) Uren, of Las Vegas, NV; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Amanda, Steven and Alexandra; his siblings, Kevin (Cathy) Steinberg, of Arlington, TX and Sharon (Al) Sobieralski, of Belleville, IL; a number of dear relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends and family may visit from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, 3412 Frank Scott Pkwy W, Belleville Illinois.

Services: All services will immediately follow the visitation at 1 p.m. at Valhalla. Interment to take place in Valhalla Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Belleville Illinois.
